down, $50.00 in a year, and $70.00 a year later. The down payment was 2 horses valued at $250.00. After the final
payment he received his deed in Feb 1839, recorded in Book N, page 49; Levi signed with an X; located N1/2 of E1/2 of SE1/4
of section 9, township 8, range 7. John R. Jacobs believes Levi's farm was the one listed for his son-in-law,
William Huntsman on the 1850 Beaver Twp., Guernsey Co., Ohio census; page 147, house#923, family #924. This same farm
is the one owned in the 1990s by Noel Marlin Brown.
