MRS. MARTHA WALTON

 "The death of Mrs. Martha L. Walton, a former resident here, occurred at her home on Auburn avenue, Columbus, Sunday night after a few weeks' illness due to infirmities and complications.
 "The deceased was 88 years of age and was born at Williamsburg, Ohio coming to Barnesville when but two years of age.  She was a daughter of William A. and Rebecca Talbott, pioneers and a prominent family here and was the widow of Attorney James W. Walton, who passed away thirty-two years ago.
 "Following his death, the family went to New York City where they lived for a number of years, moving to Columbus in 1918 where she spent the remainder of her days.  She was reared in the Methodist faith, the family being among the leaders of that denomination in Barnesville and she always took an active part in church work in her younger life and as long as she was able to do so.
 "Mrs. Walton is survived by three sons and one daughter: William T. Walton, Portland, Oregon; James Sibley Walton, Denver, Colorado; Charles C. and Miss Mary Walton in the home, Columbus.  She also leaves four brothers and two sisters: W. A. Talbott, Cleveland; Charles Talbott, California; George Talbott, Urbana, O.; W. R. Talbott, Winchester, Va.; Mrs. Maggie Frasier, Chicago; Mrs. Rebecca Beckett, Cambridge.
 "The remains were brought to Barnesville Monday evening and on Tuesday afternoon at the Campbell Funeral Home on West Main street, funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. M. Wolfe of the First Methodist church and burial was made in Greenmount.
 "The deceased is an aunt of Mrs. J. W. Galloway and Miss Emma Talbott and also a relatives[sic] of William and Edwin Hutchison."
